Over the past 15 years, I’ve built Minime Photography into one of New Zealand’s most awarded portrait studios. MEET SARAH
I’m Sarah — a photographer, a mother of three, and someone who understands just how quickly time changes everything.
My journey into photography wasn’t only professional — it was deeply personal. My first baby was born prematurely, and that experience changed the way I saw both time and memory. It made me understand, in a very real way, how important it is to preserve the small details we often think we’ll never forget.
Since then, I’ve built my work around that understanding.
As a mother myself, I know the rhythm of family life — the chaos, the connection, and the quiet in-between moments that often go unnoticed. Those are the things I am drawn to photograph. Not perfection, but truth.
I’m based in Richmond, Nelson, where I work from a purpose-built studio designed specifically for maternity, newborn, and family portraiture.
The space has been carefully curated with timeless props, styling elements, and controlled lighting — allowing every session to be crafted with consistency, care, and intention.
Over the past 15 years, I’ve worked with families from all over New Zealand, creating portraiture that is both refined and deeply personal.
My approach is calm, considered, and fully guided — designed to make the experience easy for you, while ensuring the final images are of the highest standard.
